[ISTATALK-L] IDNR Field Trip Grants



"Illinois Biodiversity Field Trip Grant" Applications Due February 15,
2005

Want to take your students into the wild to study Illinois' natural
resources? Apply for an "Illinois Biodiversity Field Trip Grant" from
the Illinois Department of Natural Resources' (IDNR) Division of
Education. Teachers may receive up to $500 that can be used for
transportation, substitute teachers and other qualifying field-trip
related expenses. See the application form for details. Obtain an
application from the IDNR Division of Education online at
http://dnr.state.il.us/lands/education/classrm/grants.htm , by
calling 217-524-4126 or by emailing teachkids@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Applications are due by February 15, 2005. A second application period
for the year will have a deadline of October 15, 2005.

These grants are made possible by generous donations from the Daniel F.
and Ada L. Rice Foundation, Skokie, and the Independence Tube
Corporation, Chicago. Funds are administered by the Illinois
Conservation Foundation.
