Problem: The United States is an ultra-mobile society with about 70% of our energy used for transportation. With added demand from China and other developing countries, existing petroleum supplies will shrink at an accelerated and unprecedented rate! What will happen to our economy and our quality of life as this trend continues? (not to mentioned ?global warming? issues!)

Enter ??The Hydrogen Fuel Cell?!

it has no moving parts
it has at least twice the efficiency of the best gasoline engines today
it can be scaled from smallàlarge applications (computers to cars)
it can be coupled with ?hybrid vehicle? technology
if it uses hydrogen fuel it is non-polluting at the vehicle

This new technology has many issues yet to be resolved and many research and related-career possibilities for the future.
