            I am the new editor of Spectrum, the journal of the Illinois 
Science Teachers Association.  Spectrum is published three times a year, 
and is one of the benefits of belonging to ISTA (http://www.ista-il.org/).
            The deadline for submission for the next issue is March 15, 
2005.  Articles should be sent to the appropriate Area Focus Editor, listed 
below.  Other submissions and inquiries should be addressed to me at
