[ISTATALK-L] Free workshop January 18th with national authors



This is a reminder to register for the FREE all day workshop designed for Administrators, Curriculum Specialists and Science Teachers. 

It's About Time: New High School Curriculum

January 18, 2007; 8:30 am - 3:00 pm.

Dr. Arthur Eisenkraft, Distinguished Professor of Science Education, University of Massachusetts Boston, along with colleagues Edward Robeck, American Geological Institute and Dr. Daniel Edelson, Northwestern university, all developers of It's About Time's (www.its-about-time.com) high school textbooks will share activities, strategies and content from their highly anticipated new materials. You'll see and learn about "Active Chemistry", "EarthComm" and "Investigations in Environmental Science, a Case-based Approach to the Study of Environmental Systems." Participate in a morning and afternoon hands-on session. Dr. Eisenkraft will present a lunchtime lively keynote on inquiry science teaching and learning.
