LEAVING NO CHILD BEHIND - IN SCIENCE
21st Annual PreK-8 Science Update Conference

On Friday, April 20, 2007, the Maurice G. Kellogg Science Education 
Center at Western Illinois University will host the 21st Annual PreK-8 
Science Update Conference.  This conference will feature more than 
twenty 50-minute presentations and over a dozen mini-session intended 
for early elementary through middle school teachers.  A sampling of the 
sessions include "The Watermelon Lab", "Making A Worm Farm", 
"Integrating Science & Math with Calculators", "Archaeological Dig - 
Indiana Jones & the Temple of Snoop Mini Dig", "Forensic Science",  and 
"Gourds in the Classroom", plus many other sessions and a continuous 
review of outstanding children's literature related to science 
throughout the conference.

At the present time the conference will also include exhibits and 
hands-on displays by DELTA Education, The Scope Shoppe, Flinn 
Scientific, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, MicroTech 
Microscopes, Kendall-Hunt, and other elementary and middle school 
science resources.  Hundreds of dollars of Door Prizes from these 
organizations plus others will also be awarded during the conference.

Full Conference Registration is $30, including meal.  (Special college 
student rates are available.)  6.5 hours of CPDU credit will also be 
available.
